Since its founding in 1988, Friendship Shelter has served more than 10,000 individuals through shelter, housing, and supportive services. Each year, we help more than 100 people move from the streets or shelter into permanent housing. Last year, nearly 95% remained safely and stably housed—a powerful indicator that Friendship Shelter's model works.
As Friendship Shelter continues to transform lives through its proven permanent housing solutions, government funding covers only a portion of the actual cost of providing these critical services, leaving an annual funding gap of approximately $1,000,000—about $1,000 per client.
As homelessness continues to impact our communities, Friendship Shelter's services have never been more urgently needed. Your partnership will help bridge the gap in awareness and resources, ensuring more unsheltered individuals can move from the street to permanent housing and receive the long-term care and support they need to thrive.
