A DISCUSSION ON RACIAL EQUITY IN HOMELESSNESS & HOUSING

Are communities of color disproportionately impacted by poverty and homelessness? How are organizations like Friendship Shelter tackling this challenge in south Orange County, and does the local data reflect the same issues we see nationally?

Friendship Shelter Executive Director Dawn Price will discuss these questions and many more with Amanda Andere, CEO of Funders Together to End Homelessness. Amanda has worked in the nonprofit and public sectors for the past 15 years, committed to racial and housing justice through advocacy for systemic change, and we look forward to a robust conversation among these leaders.

virtual dinners & salons

Due to limitations from COVID-19, there is a new opportunity to show your support through virtual fundraising dinners and educational salon events!

Hosting a virtual event is fun and easy, and our team is here to support you each step of the way. With a virtual event, the sky - or the screen - is the limit! Themes can range from a virtual wine tasting to a tea party, pizza making class, arts & crafts, or an old fashioned get together.

Invite anyone you think might be interested in supporting our cause, set a donation price (or ask them to come to learn), and a Friendship Shelter staff or board member will host a Zoom call and provide information about the organization.

Click the button below to download our digital toolkit, and get in touch with us if you'd like to host an event or brainstorm ideas!
