Meet Our Panel
We look forward to an engaging panel discussion on the connection between healthcare and housing. As providers like Friendship Shelter see growing investments from the healthcare sector, we’re navigating new opportunities—and challenges—in areas like medical record keeping, HIPAA compliance, and medical billing. This shift is transforming the way we support people experiencing homelessness, reinforcing what we’ve long known: housing is health. We hope you'll join us for this dynamic conversation on how this evolution is shaping the future of care.
"You can't improve health outcomes without stable housing. It's that simple."

Exploring the Connection Between Healthcare & Housing
As providers like Friendship Shelter see growing investments from the healthcare sector, we’re navigating new opportunities—and challenges—in areas like medical record keeping, HIPAA compliance, and medical billing. This shift is transforming the way we support people experiencing homelessness, reinforcing what we’ve long known: housing is health.
The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH) argues that “you can't improve health outcomes without stable housing. It's that simple." Friendship Shelter agrees. Not only does our team of professionals help individuals experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing, but we work with each tenant to determine the appropriate level of support they need to remain successfully housed including connecting clients with mental and physical healthcare.
The results speak for themselves. 100% of Friendship Shelter’s clients retained their housing last year! Our success has been built on the foundation of our commitment to our clients. We know that ending homelessness is essential for the individual experiencing it, and also for the overall health of our community. Helping our clients to achieve housing stability is critical in reaching that goal.
