2021 was a record year for Friendship Shelter!
We'd like to take this opportunity to highlight just some of the incredible accomplishments we made last year thanks to your support...
We helped 115 of our most vulnerable neighbors move out of homelessness and into permanent housing–the most in a single year throughout our 34-year history!
We connected 94 people to housing-focused services through our street outreach program in Laguna Beach.
We've expanded our programs to include disability benefits specialists who help our clients navigate complex bureaucratic systems to submit applications for disability benefits which, in turn, help sustain their housing.
Our Permanent Supportive Housing program is thriving. Today, we work with 130 people who have a long history of homelessness and a disabling condition to keep them safe, stable, and healthy in their housing.
And finally, thanks to you, our team, and the efforts of The Next 100 campaign, 39 people have moved into their permanent homes using a voucher. Meanwhile, 58 more individuals have their housing vouchers in hand and are working with our team to locate appropriate housing.
Anything is possible when you have a support system like this incredible Friendship Shelter community.
